Brought my FTO to the garage to have a new exhaust section fitted.
After explaining about the difficulties in attaching a new centre section to a rotten tail section (weld and filler rather than bolts) the proprietor said:
“You’re running on an empty tank”
(thinks to self: but it’s half full?)
Explains: “Your car is coming to the end of its life. The chassis rails are very rusty and it’ll never pass the test”
We agree to see what happens, as he’s been telling me this for five years now.
